Knockout

Pick a fighter and take on the other five, one stage after another: the Kadıköy quay, Galata, the shore facing Kız Kulesi, Su Ada, South Beach in Boca and Gantry Plaza in Long Island City. Punch, kick, block and save up for the super. Or send a friend a link and fight from two browsers.

The super needs the bar under the stage full.

How to play

Win the fight: two rounds out of three (or three out of five). A round ends when one fighter is knocked out, or when its 99 seconds run out, the fighter with more left winning it. Beat the other five one after another for the title.

Moving

← → walk; walking away from the other fighter is your guard. ↑ jumps, with ← or → forward or back; ↓ crouches.

Striking

A punches and S kicks. Crouching, A is a jab and S a sweep that knocks the other down; in the air, both come down from above. Blows landing one after another make a combo, each one a little weaker.

Blocking

Hold the direction away from the other fighter as a blow comes: it blocks what comes high or in the middle, and with ↓ it blocks a low one. A low blow (a sweep, a slide) has to be blocked crouching, a blow from above (a jump, a leap) standing. A special move blocked still takes a little.

Your own moves

Each fighter has three, named under the panel’s roster: the first is ↓ ↘ → and then A or S, the second → → and then S, and the super A and S together, once your bar under the stage is full. D does them too: on its own the first, with → the second, with the bar full the super.

The bar

The bar under each fighter’s side of the stage fills as they land blows, take them and block them. Full, it lights up and the super is ready; the super empties it.

The ladder

The other five fighters come one after another, each on their own stage. Win a fight and Next fight brings the next one; lose and Retry fights the same one again. Start over (beside Retry) begins the ladder again from the first fight; a new fighter picked in the roster does too.

With a friend

Pick A friend in Play against and send the link (Copy link); the fight is set once they open it. Each of you picks your own fighter: yours is on the left, and the stage is your friend’s. Either of you can start the fight, pause it and Play again after it; the rounds are yours to choose. Leave the game ends it for both of you.

Controls

← → ↑ ↓ move, A punches, S kicks, D is your own move. P or Esc pauses; Enter plays, or takes the next step when the stage asks. On a touch screen, use the buttons over the stage: the arrows, Punch, Kick and Move. Putting the tab away pauses the fight too. The speaker beside Play turns the sound on or off.

Your fighter, the level, the rounds, how far up the ladder you are, the fights won and your best run are kept in this browser; a fight in play isn’t, so a refresh starts it again. Sound’s choice is kept too. A fight with a friend goes through a small server that passes each side’s keys and what the stage looks like to the other, keeping none of it; it forgets the room a day after the last fight, or as soon as one of you leaves.
