Build all four suits from ace to king on the foundations. Every winnable deal has been played through to the end before you see it.
Paused
Move all 52 cards onto the four foundations, each suit on its own from ace to king.
Seven columns of one to seven cards, the top card of each face up; the other 24 cards are the stock, face down at the top left. The four foundations at the top right start empty. The clock starts with Play or your first move; Pause stops it, and it stops by itself while the page is out of sight.
On a column, a card goes on a card one higher of the other colour (a red 6 on a black 7). Face-up cards move together, from any one of them to the top. Only a king, with the cards on it, goes into an empty column. When a column’s face-up cards have all moved away, the card under them turns face up by itself.
Tap the stock to draw. With Draw on 1 card, one card turns over onto the waste; on 3 cards, three (the top one is the one you can play, the two under it show beside it). When the stock is empty, tap its place to turn the waste over and go through it again, as often as you like.
Each foundation takes one suit: its ace first, then the 2, the 3 and on up to the king. A card on a foundation can come back down onto a column where it fits. When every card is face up and the rest can only go to the foundations, they go there by themselves.
On Winnable, every deal is one a solver here has played through to the end before you see it, knowing where every card lies: it can be won, though not every way of playing it wins. On Random, it is a plain shuffle, and some deals can’t be won at all. A new visitor starts on Draw 1 card and Winnable. Until the clock starts, Draw and Deals deal again at once; then they are locked until the game is won or New game deals the next one.
Every card moved, every draw and every turn of the waste is a move. Undo takes back the last move, one at a time. Hint rings the most useful move there is in blue (a card that can go to a foundation first, then one that turns a card face up), or the stock when a card further in it can be played. With no moves left, the panel says so and New game turns amber. When the last card goes home, the table ripples and the inset says Won in, with your time.
Tap or click a card and it goes where it can: a foundation first, then a column where it fits. Drag a card, with the cards on it, to put it somewhere else. With a keyboard on the table, the arrows move between the piles and along a column, Enter or Space plays the card, D draws, H hints and Ctrl or Cmd+Z undoes.
The game in progress (the cards where they lie, Draw and Deals, your moves and the clock) is kept in this browser once it starts and comes back paused; New game replaces it.
