Walkers
Lead the little walkers home: give each one a job to build a bridge, dig a way down or turn the others back, in twenty-five levels.
- Solo
Look through the scope, hold over for the distance and into the wind, steady your breath, and take every soldier the mission names before they raise the alarm.
Take every soldier the mission names, with the rounds you have, before the alarm is raised. Eight missions, each opening the next.
The scope follows the mouse, and a click fires; on a touch screen, drag a finger anywhere on the scene to move it finely and tap Fire. The arrows nudge it. Z, or the mouse wheel, zooms in and out. The rifle sways as you breathe: hold Shift (or the breath button) to hold your breath and steady it for a few seconds; hold it too long and the sway is worse until you catch it again.
The bullet drops over the distance and the wind pushes it sideways, so aim a little above the target and into the wind. Under the scope you read the range at the reticle and the hold for it in mils (one mil is a metre at a thousand metres): ↑ how far to hold over, and an arrow and how far to hold into the wind. Each dot on the reticle is a mil. The bullet takes a moment to arrive, so lead a soldier who is walking.
Every shot is heard, and the alarm creeps up. A miss landing near a soldier, or a soldier seeing another fall close by, puts him on alert: he stops and searches the hills, and the alarm climbs while he does. At full alarm they find your hill and the mission is lost. It is lost too if the rounds run out, or a target leaves: the convoy drives on, the general goes inside for good.
| A soldier down | 100 |
| A clean shot, to the head | 200 |
| For the distance, each 2 m | 1 |
| Each round left when the mission is done | 50 |
| The quiet left in the alarm, at most | 300 |
The mouse aims and a click fires; Space fires too. Shift holds your breath, Z zooms, the arrows or W A S D nudge the aim. On a touch screen, drag on the scene to aim and use the buttons under it. Enter plays, resumes or goes on to the next mission; P or Escape pauses; R starts the mission again.
The missions you finish are kept in this browser: each opens the next, any open mission can be played again from the list under the game, and Reset forgets them. A mission in play is not kept; a refresh opens the first mission not yet done.
