Four colours, one die, no mercy: roll a 6 to come out, go once round the board and into your home row, and send whoever you land on back to the start.
Be the first to bring all four of your pieces round the board and into your home row.
Each colour has a yard with four pieces, a start square on the way round and a home row of four squares leading to the middle. Two players sit opposite; three or four take the board round. The turn passes to the left, round the board the way the pieces go.
A 6 brings a piece out of your yard onto your start square, and you must do it while a piece is waiting and your start square is free of your own. A piece on your start square with others still waiting must move on first, if it can. With no piece out on the way, you get three rolls to throw a 6.
Move one piece exactly the number you rolled, round the board the way the arrows of the way go. You can’t land on your own piece. A 6 gives you another roll.
Land on another player’s piece and it goes back to its yard, to wait for a 6 again. Nowhere on the way is safe, not even a start square.
After one full lap your piece turns into your home row. It must get there by the exact number, and can’t jump over a piece already in it. The first with all four pieces in the home row wins.
Computer sets how well the computer players play (Normal to start). Easy moves any piece; Normal takes, comes out and heads home; Hard also keeps away from the squares others can hit. Players is 2, 3 or 4. Both are for the next game while one is on. Speed sets the pace of every roll and move; Auto roll throws your die for you, and Auto move plays your piece when only one move is possible (both Off to start).
Send friends the link (Copy link) and play from your own browsers; whoever made the table sets Players and Computer and starts the game, and the computer plays every seat nobody has. Someone who joins mid-game takes over a computer’s seat, pieces and all.
Tap the die, press Roll, or press Space to roll. The pieces you can move are ringed: tap one to move it (a dashed ring shows where it lands). What just happened (a 6, a piece sent home) shows for a moment in that player’s row.
A game against the computer is kept in this browser with the games won, and comes back paused (it also pauses whenever you switch away from the page). A friends’ game goes through a small server that rolls the dice and plays the empty seats, and forgets the game a day after the last move.
