Smart Money Concepts
The indicator on my own charts, written from scratch in Pine Script v6. It marks liquidity, structure, fair value gaps, order blocks and the levels price keeps coming back to, and nothing on it looks ahead.

01What it draws
- LiquidityEqual highs and lows
- Highs and lows within a small ATR tolerance of each other: the obvious places stops pile up.
- StructureSwing and internal
- Each with its own pivot length. BOS continues the trend, CHoCH flips it, and every level breaks once. Strong and weak highs and lows show which side is protected.
- FVGFair value gaps
- Three-candle gaps at least a set share of ATR wide. They shrink as price fills them, and can come from a higher timeframe.
- Order blocksInternal and swing
- The last opposite candle before the move that broke structure, or the extreme candle of the leg. Mitigated by wick, close or the 50% level.
- Premium and discountThe range, split
- The current range cut at its midpoint, so you see whether price is expensive or cheap inside it.
- LevelsPrevious highs and lows
- Yesterday's, last week's and last month's high and low, from completed bars only.
Also an info table, candles colored by the internal trend, and a monochrome style that turns everything gray. Every layer has its own switch in the settings.
02No lookahead
What you see on history is what you would have seen live.
Every mark appears at the same bar in both. A break needs a close past the level, by a margin you set. Gaps need a minimum size. Higher-timeframe gaps wait for their third candle to close. Swings are confirmed a set number of bars after they print: that delay is the price of not guessing.
03Limits
- It marks what price did. It doesn’t predict what price will do, and it doesn’t place trades.
- The newest swing always arrives a few bars late, because a swing only counts once it is confirmed.
- Settings change what it marks: a different pivot length draws a different structure. There is no one right setting.
- It runs on TradingView only, as an invite-only script: you get the indicator, not the code.

05Where the ideas come from
I didn’t invent Smart Money Concepts. The vocabulary (liquidity, order blocks, fair value gaps, change of character) comes from the trading community, most of all the teachings of ICT, the Inner Circle Trader. What is mine is this implementation, written from scratch.
